Saga is yet another of the lesser known goddesses of the Norse pantheon. Saga is the keeper of the stories, or sagas. She is a bard and storyteller. Before writing existed, stories were the most important and only way to hand down the knowledge of the older generations to the newer ones. I chose to paint Saga with an owl, as owls can see in all directions just as a storyteller looks far into the past to bring knowledge and wisdom into the present.
