"This is a ferocious, mystical force of nature, a Moon goddess that is enchanting the entire universe and all of its creatures with her mesmeric gaze, fervent inner light and ignition, with her eternal fire and lunar coolness that coexist together. I love to draw lunar deities such as Selene, because nocturnal realms are the ones where the magic happens, where the lines between real and dreamlike are blurred, where the entities transform and shapeshift, where the shadows creep in and we are challenged to face our inner demons. Selene is a gorgeous, ancient, archetypal diva, blessed with many atributes in my personal iteration: bloody, juicy strawberries of hopeful spring, tempestuos tigers of the hot summer, deer horns of autumn abundance and forest mysteries, and winter danger of wise serpents. She represents a cyclical and ritualistic nature of the universe, and in my story, is tightly related to Hecate, one of my guardian angels, the ominous sorceress of crossroads, magic and occult. She is a dark, irresistible femme fatale and a witch of many powers."
