Inspired by one of Aesop's well-known fables "The Crow and The Pitcher", "Will" depicts our perseverance and will to overcome setbacks in our lives. There is a slight twist to the piece where I switched out the rocks for gemstones. In real life, sometimes we have to sacrifice a little of our short-term pleasures just so we can reach a more sustainable long-term goal. I have also gone for a local Peranakan Chinese "still-life" look to reflect my Singaporean identity.
