Mixed media: paperclay, dried and paper flowers, merino wool, Japanese paper. She is painted with acrylics, soft pastels and colored pencils, and sealed with matte and gloss varnish.

Pathology report:
A person suffering from unrequited love will begin to cough up flower petals, which can escalate to entire flowers and roots. If left untreated, the disease can be fatal, as the flowers grow to fill the lungs, leading to suffocation and death.

Symptoms include:
Persistent coughing of petals, flowers, and roots
Shortness of breath and chest tightness
Fatigue and emotional agitation

Clinical manifestation:
Floral growth develops within lung tissue, sustained by unreturned affection. The condition can be cured if the object of affection reciprocates the patient’s feelings, causing the flowers to wither. Alternatively, surgical removal is possible but carries high risk, including loss of feelings and potential memories of the beloved.
