"I chose Easter because it is celebrated differently in France. Depending on the region, people celebrate either the Easter bunny or the church bells. In Catholic religion, legend has it that on the evening of Holy Thursday, the bells leave for Rome. They are blessed there by the Pope at the end of Lent and on Easter morning they return ringing to announce the resurrection of Christ. On their way home, they scatter chocolate eggs in the gardens.
In northern France, near Germany, the legend is different: a poor woman, unable to afford sweets for her children, decorated some eggs and hid them in the garden. The children, seeing a hare, thought it had laid the eggs.
Over the centuries, chocolate It became more widespread and the hare became a rabbit.German settlers who left for the Americas brought with them the legend of the Easter hare and eggs."
