This work explores the theme of misinterpretation. Every suspicion becomes an accusation, disregarding the facts. The shadow cast by the mother and her newborn is misleading, as it resembles a witch. The broken window frames the rest of the village, whose inhabitants are carrying torches and marching towards the happy family, unaware of the impending danger.
